We're honoured to be a media patron of the Special Olympics European Summer Games Warsaw 2010. As part of the Olympics from 18'th to 24'th of September 2010, Warsaw will host 1,600 athletes with intellectual disabilities. It's the biggest sport event in Poland in 2010 and the biggest Polish test before Euro 2012.
The idea of Special Olympics is the belief that people with intellectual disabilities are able with the right encouragement and instruction to train, enjoy and benefit from participation in individual and team sports.
This activity contributes to the development of physical fitness of people with intellectual disabilities, demonstrate courage, sense of joy, sharing talents, skills and friendship with their parents, other players and the local community.
Polish national team for the first time participated in Special Olympics Games in 1983.
